Created from a broken Victorian uranium glass bowl, this striking pendant necklace gives a fascinating piece of history a new life. Once part of a treasured antique household item, the glass has been carefully shaped and tumbled to create a smooth sea-glass finish while preserving the unique character of the original piece.
What makes uranium glass so special is its remarkable ability to glow a vivid green under 395nm ultraviolet light. Combined with the soft sea-glass appearance of the reclaimed glass, the result is a truly distinctive piece of wearable history that is guaranteed to attract attention and start conversations.
Each pendant is individually handmade, ensuring no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Variations in shape, colour and pattern reflect both the original Victorian glass and the artisan process used to transform it. Every necklace is a one-of-a-kind creation that celebrates craftsmanship, sustainability and the beauty of giving forgotten materials a second life.
Please note: The glow effect shown in the photographs is only visible under 395nm UV light and is not visible in normal daylight. To help you enjoy the full effect, a small UV torch is included free of charge with every pendant.
